Day Care Provision for Gloucestershire
Day care enables the carer to have some short term regular respite. The person with dementia attends a specialist centre for 3 – 5 hours at a time, perhaps one day per week to include meals and refreshments. Activities are organised either at the centre or as visits out to places of interest. Often transport can be organised. In order to access this care the person needs to have an assessment through social services on 01452 426868.
