Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
There has been so much in the news over the last few months that may well have caused concern to those who have loved ones with dementia – one always wants the very best care for people who are vulnerable and these new guidance rules may help to put your mind at rest.
The British Medical Association (BMA) has issued new guidance for general practitioners called “Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults – A Toolkit For General Practitioners”. The BMA stresses that the guidelines apply to any professional who works in health care settings with vulnerable adults, even though it is primarily aimed at GPs. Read more……

Tetbury Summer Show
The Tetbury Summer Show is taking place on Sunday 14thAugust on the recreation ground with gates opening at mid-day and the event promises to maintain its long tradition of being a great low-cost family day out. Dressed in full regalia, the City of Bristol Pipes and Drums will provide music and spectacle while the kids can enjoy a six-ring trampoline or challenge their parents on the nine-hole crazy golf course. There will also be ferret racing, a selection of children’s rides, a hands-on display of owls and falcons, creepy crawlies from Bristol Zoo and the extraordinary “Professor Crump”. Adding to the event will be displays of tractors, classic cars, motor bikes and model, boats/planes and lots more. Refreshments, ice creams teas/coffee available all afternoon for a fun-filled day out. Admission – Adults £2, Children 12-16 years £1, Children under 12 free. Entrance to the recreation ground: Hampton Street or New Church Street.
